Cuttings of the saltbush (Atriplex halimus L.) were rooted by keeping them at high humidity in cheap &am- hers of transparent plastic sheeting for two months. The method could be useful in propagating improved plant material.

This research work was carried out with the objective of extracting natural pigments from Opuntia ficus-indica, so that a visual analysis of the fruit was carried out, then the drying process is carried out in the lyophilization equipment at different temperatures (50, 60 and 70º C)

This work aimed to study the possibility of using plant matter, Opuntia ficus indica juice (OFIJ), for conditioning the Beni-Messous (Algiers) wastewater treatment plant sludge. The optimum dosage of OFIJ was found to be 0.4 g×kg-1 of dry matter, for which the residual turbidity, the dryness of the filtration cake, and the specific resistance of filtration were found to be 2.5 NTU, 24% and 0.13×1012 m×kg-1, respectively.
This research studies the crystalline compounds present in nopal (Opuntia ficus- indica) cladodes. The identification of the crystalline structures was performed using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.
