New water line and second watering

Today marks the second watering of the cactus field, which took about three days. There are now six spigots in the cactus field.

Over 85% of the cactus are budding now. I have not seen any flower buds, but the spiny cactus (opuntia arizonica) are putting on fruit.

Ditch digging

This morning I re-dug the 250' trench for the far east end of the property (see photo). I did additional digging on the south leg of of the water line that will cross the access road. Then I laid out the trench that will cross the driveway.

  1. Trenches dug deeper or started:
    1. North side faucet to west entrance.
    2. Orchard line
    3. Potting shed electrical
  2. Additional T stakes put in for electric fence.
  3. New male connector on rubber hose.
