Bachelor of Nutrition graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of León of the University of Guanajuato. In 2004, she conducted a research stay at the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at the University of Illinois, Urban-Champaign campus. Since 2005, she has been a research assistant to the Food Biotechnology laboratory in the Department of Biotechnology and Biochemistry of the Research Center for Advanced Studies (Cinvestav) of the National Polytechnic Institute, Irapuato Unit.
She is the author and co-author of several research papers and scientific reviews published in international journals, as well as a couple of book chapters in high-prestige publishing houses. Currently, she is reviewing scientific articles from international journals and collaborates in the edition of Plants Foods for Human Nutrition.
She has also participated in the development of thesis protocols of bachelor's, master's and doctoral students from the Food Biotechnology Laboratory of Cinvestav, Irapuato. She has given several lectures on food biotechnology and nutcases at various workshops and congresses in Mexico and abroad. It has also participated in the establishment of links and work networks with chia and chili producers from various municipalities of the State of Guanajuato. For 15 years, in Salamanca, Guanajuato she gives nutritional attention to patients with body and psychological imaging disorders, diabetes, hypertension, overweight, obesity and low weight, metabolic syndrome, dyslipidemia, pregnant and nursing women, as well as people wishing to improve their eating habits.
