Pedro Roberto Almeida Viégas, Ph.D.

Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (1987), Master's degree in Phytotechnics from the Federal University of Viçosa (1991), PhD in Phytotechnics (Vegetable Production/Plant Mineral Nutrition) from the Federal University of Viçosa (1997) and Post-Doctorate (2014) at the University of Florida (Soil Fertility at RCREC/IFAS/University of Florida), Science without Borders/CAPES program. He is currently a full professor at the Federal University of Sergipe in the Department of Agricultural Engineering. He has experience in the area of ​​Agronomy, with an emphasis on Plant Mineral Nutrition, plant physiology and tropical fruit growing, working mainly on the following topics: pineapple, banana, passion fruit and papaya, plant mineral nutrition and seedling production.
