Since 1995, involved in teaching molecular biology, genetics, plant pathology, microbiology and medicinal plants along with basic botany to the students of M.Sc Botany at Gulbarga University, Gulbarga. I worked on powdery mildew disease of mulberry for my Ph.D. and after undergoing some advanced research trainings at New Delhi,Chennai and Bangalore, I started my independent research with biodegradation of keratinous waste and phenol. My research group now mainly concentrates on ethnomedicobotany and secondary metabolites from plants and microbes. The work on antifungals for dermatophytes and Candida albicans is in progress along with endophytic fungi from medicinal plants.
