Cold and windy today. I attached the second plank of the corral. I was able to drill through the old satellite mount support steel but broke a drill bit in the process. Too much wind load to put the metal skirts in. Chickens and turkeys didn't mind the cold.
I got seven eggs today. That includes the egg that one of the hens lays in the garage each day. It's impossible to keep her out of there right now so I gave up trying. They'll be enclosed soon so she'll have to lay in the brooding stalls again.
Little Goldy, Little Red and Miss Speckle still sneak up on me and fly up on my shoulder or head. It's almost impossible to get work done with them stalking me. I have some aggressive roosters that will be isolated soon. In the meantime, I'm getting more and more hens that approach me and let me pick them up so they are not harassed. I've learned to work one-handed while I carry them around.

This is the first grow site and plant breeding site. Expansion is under way to have a stock of four thousand (4,000) growing opuntia ficus indica and other varieties.
Our main goal here is to create hard freeze resistant stock and to open a nursery (wholesale and retail).
