After seven hours of messing with coils of wire getting tangled, the electric fence restring on metal T stakes is done. The third string above the lower two will be done later in the season. The reason for the fence was to keep javelinas out of the cactus. They had destroyed about forty of them before I put up the fence. The cold snap in winter killed another eighty of them, they're slowly being replaced.
The temporary wooden stakes will now be used to make north-south lines for electroculture wires through the cactus.

This is the first grow site and plant breeding site. Expansion is under way to have a stock of four thousand (4,000) growing opuntia ficus indica and other varieties.
Our main goal here is to create hard freeze resistant stock and to open a nursery (wholesale and retail).
