Work done:
- Remove all retrievable tumbleweeds from southern boundary, putting them into compost piles for biomass conversion.
Observations:
- Rain began at around 3:30 a.m.; total rainfall so far is about 1/2 inch.
- I just surveyed the orchard. I'm amazed at the comparative health of the cactus to last year. The stray cactus that are inside the future perimeter of the 24' pyramid are the deepest shade of green I've ever seen on a ficus indica.
- Buckwheat is again attempting to sprout in the two locations its planted.
- Of future interest to me is how fast the fruit trees will root and grow.

This is the first grow site and plant breeding site. Expansion is under way to have a stock of four thousand (4,000) growing opuntia ficus indica and other varieties.
Our main goal here is to create hard freeze resistant stock and to open a nursery (wholesale and retail).
