Work done:
- Not much done the last two days due to the soil still being in a muddy state.
- Covered sensitive seedlings in grow bed with plastic sheets to prevent nighttime freezing.
Observations:
- No apparent damage to cactus in the field due to over one inch of rain in the past week and subsequent freezing temperatures down to the 22° F level. These temperatures are expected to continue for the next seven days at a minimum.
- Chickens are consistent with three to four eggs a day in spite of less winter sunlight and freezing temperatures. I am supplementing their feed with weeds, specifically wild mustard that seems to thrive right now in spite of low temperatures.
