Work done:
- Planted millet in two swales
- Planted melons and watermelons in a swale.
- Planted Jerusalem artichokes and squash in a swale.
- Watered cactus again over two days.
Observations:
- Sorghum is sprouting in all swales planted.
- Persimmon tree has grown four inches in two days.
- Pears gaining size quickly.
- Hose in backyard broken, must replace.
- Pecans gaining size but not quickly.
- Met Elias and his daughter (Susie?) on the road. Discussed at great length the project.
- Melons have not sprouted yet.
- Wheat has created very long seed stalks in all locations
- Barley creating seed stalks.

This is the first grow site and plant breeding site. Expansion is under way to have a stock of four thousand (4,000) growing opuntia ficus indica and other varieties.
Our main goal here is to create hard freeze resistant stock and to open a nursery (wholesale and retail).
