Work done:
- Dig up old sorghum and alfalfa on south side of wall. Planted sunflower seeds there after soil preparation.
- Weeded south swales in preparation for electric fence extension.
- Watering of various plants.
Observations:
- Bees swarming in backyard, thousands of them, had to remain inside for a few hours.
- Opuntia robusta is developing flower buds, as is opuntia linguiformis and at least one ficus indica.
- Removing alfalfa is almost worse than mesquite.

This is the first grow site and plant breeding site. Expansion is under way to have a stock of four thousand (4,000) growing opuntia ficus indica and other varieties.
Our main goal here is to create hard freeze resistant stock and to open a nursery (wholesale and retail).
