
In this book I have tried to summarize our present knowledge paleomagnetism and to outline its relation to some other studies in the Earth sciences.
Paleomagnetism is a composite subject with both geological and physical aspects, and I have written this book in a manner which may be followed by a geologist or by a geologist equipped with an elementary text on magnetism o by a physicist who has at hand a dictionary of geological terms.
